Preparing For Your Medical Check-Up

Things to bring:

1. NRIC or passport.
2. Past medical record or scans.
3. Company / Payor guarantee letter (if applicable).
4. Jacket or cardigan to keep warm.
5. Bottled water to stay hydrated.

Health Screening Tips

Do’s

  • Allocate 1 full day to complete your health screening.
  • Fast at least 10 hours prior to your health screening. 
  • Stay hydrated with plain water before your screening. 
  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. 
  • Expect to get your health report on the same day (for appointments before 10am) or the following day (for appointments after 10am or during peak periods).
    For ladies who have done a Pap smear test, test results are only available 4 working days post-screening. SJMC advise you to collect your report then.

Don’ts

  • Delay your health screening as wait times will be longer during peak periods (October to December). 
  • Wear jewellery during your health screening as you will be required to remove them for X-ray procedures. 
  • Schedule your health screening during your menstruation. It should be done at least 14 days after the first day of your period. 
  • Don’t do any X-rays if you are pregnant as it may harm the foetus.

How To Get To SJMC

Transportation

SJMC is located in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur and is conveniently accessible by private and public transport. 
 

Private Transportation

SJMC is about 30 minute drive to Kuala Lumpur city centre and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) via major highways. 

Parking Fee details

  • RM 2.00 1st HOUR or part thereof, add RM 1 every subsequent half hour or less.
  • RM 10.00 Maximum Charge (per day).
  • RM 3.00 Monday – Saturday (7:00pm – 7:00am).
  • RM 3.00 Sunday and Public Holiday (per entry).

Public Transportation

It is is 2km or five minutes away from the Subang Jaya KTM and LRT Stations. From there, you can take a Grab or bus for a short ride to the hospital. Rapid buses are available and there are multiple stops close by.

SJMC is open 24 hours while health screening centre operates at these times:

  • Monday – Friday : 8.00am – 5.30pm.
  • Saturday : 8.00am – 12.30pm.
  • Sunday & Public Holidays : Closed.
