As Malaysia moves toward achieving its goal of becoming a premier global healthcare destination by 2025, the medical tourism sector is poised to generate an estimated annual revenue of RM2 billion in that year.[1] Aligned with this, the upcoming Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone, expected to be finalized during the 11th Singapore-Malaysia Leaders’ Retreat, will further strengthen healthcare collaboration and enhance medical tourism across borders.[2]
